Matthew Wolkoff, M.S.

Matt received his B.A. in Psychology from American University in 2012 and his M.S. in Biology from University of Texas at Tyler. Matt joined the Larson lab in 2018. He is broadly interested in the interplay between genetics, the environment, and evolution. He is particularly focused on using computational tools to study population and phylogenetics; biogeography; and the modeling of biological phenomena. Matt is applying principles from these fields of study to understanding circuit plasticity and cellular interactions in HVC. Matt is also annotating the genome of a songbird with future plans to use scRNAseq to identify different cell populations in HVC.
